WAN Specialist -
Chicago
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Network
WAN Specialist to work in a Network
Control Center (NCC) and provide Level
II and Level III LAN/WAN troubleshooting
and support.
This position requires senior
level
expertise
and
a thorough
knowledge
of
large NCC environments. The technologies being managed include
Nortel Passport, Cisco routers/switches, PIX firewalls and
various network management platforms. This position involves
rotating shift work with three 13 hour shifts per week.
To
qualify you
will need
at a minimum:
- Must
have 4 - 6
years related experience in a large NOC environment troubleshooting
high end Cisco routers in a large network (500+ routers)
- Must
have 4 - 6
years related experience in a large NOC environment troubleshooting
high end Nortel Passport 6000, 4000 ATM and Frame Relay switches
in a large network (500+ switches)
- Must have minimum 2 years experience working with Cisco
PIX and Netscreen firewalls providing Level III support
- Must have 4 - 6 years experience working with network
management tools including Netcool, CiscoWorks, Sitescope,
HPOpenview and Optivity
- Must have senior level skills troubleshooting OSPF and
BGP routing and Virtual Private Networks
- Must have installation experience with Nortel 4k and
6k.
