CNG Announces its selection of Viola Networks for Remote Network Assessments

Kelly Mattice has joined our Ottawa office as Manager of Resource Acquisition. Kelly has a deep background and experience in Human Resources and Recruiting within the IT and Telecommunications Industry.

Previously, Kelly has held multiple strategic positions in recruiting and human resource development with companies as Ibiska, Williams Communications, Lockheed Martin, and MCI Systemhouse. She has extensive experience in both contracting and employment based tactical recruiting and has developed a systematic approach to ensure a high level of quality and accurate skill sets matching for a very broad range of IT and Telecom personnel.

Kelly will be managing CNG's global resourcing requirements.

Norman Provan, PMP
Senior Project Manager, CNG PMO

Norman Provan has joined our Ottawa office as Senior Project Manager. Norman has a deep background and experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams composed of engineers, professionals and consultants while managing Fiber To The Home (last mile) and Voice Over IP projects while with Cygnal Technologies and Nortel Networks. He has successfully completed projects covering a wide spectrum of technology consisting of both hardware and software disciplines. Norman has the ability to be flexible, creative and innovative, and has excellent written and communications skills.

Norman has demonstrated excellent skills in managing the financial and manpower resources required in an inter-disciplinary environment with Cygnal Technologies and with Nortel Networks. As the Project Manager of record for a 250 site 400 Km fiber build, he dealt with the private sector, government agencies, consultants, subcontractors and the general public to ensure that there were no interruptions of existing infrastructure while constructing this network.

Neil Smith,
Senior IP Telephony Engineer

Neil Smith has joined our Ottawa Office as a Senior IP Telephony Engineer. Neil comes to CNG from Nortel where he has had over 25 years of voice and convergence experience. Some of his accomplishments include;

  • Developed and integrated new product content for deployment to Executive Briefing Centers (EBC), NetworkXpress vehicles (18 wheeler truck / trailer) and tradeshows. Prime for Enterprise voice products such as MCS 5100, CS1000 and IP sets.
  • Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - Managed Nortel’s data and voice services deliverables during design phase of multi-service (Internet, VoIP, video, CCTV) IP-centric complex. Complex will contain hotel, residential, business and shopping facilities requiring +60k data ports of which +20k will be for VoIP.
  • Technical prime for design and planning of +500k line VoIP residential and small business network for Telstra Australia

Neil brings with him a deep understanding of Nortel convergence products and will be playing a central role in our IP Telephony Practice.

CNG Announces Move to Larger Facilities
OTTAWA, January 4, 2006

CNG Global Services Inc. The new facility, which is approximately four times the area of the old office space, gives CNG the opportunity to continue to build its advanced technology center as well as building network operations capabilities. The new facility includes almost 1,500 square feet of lab space that CNG can use to verify new product features from vendors like Nortel, Cisco and Avaya.
